Penélope Cruz looked like a dream at the Governors Awards last night, in a bridal Chanel couture ball gown embellished with sequins.
The dress featured a fitted, intricately embroidered bodice, with sequins forming an artful gray, beige, and white pattern. The straps and belt cinching the gown at the waist were of beige tweed embroidered with silver glitter string, and down the center of the bodice were lines of golden flower buttons. The silky skirt was ample and layered, creating a dramatic hourglass silhouette.
Cruz let the fabulous design take the spotlight, and only accessorized the red-carpet look with cascading diamond earrings and a white gold ring encrusted with small diamonds.
For glam, the Ferrari star wore a subtle burgundy eye shadow to match her manicure, a matte pink lip, and a wavy hairdo.

Cruz was among the many Hollywood stars who showed up for the award show, which took place at the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Ovation Hollywood, in Los Angeles.
The Chanel ambassador’s last major red carpet was in December, when she wore another stunning gown by the French fashion house to attend the L.A. premiere of Ferrari.
That piece was a black floor-length slipdress with a colorful floral print in red, yellow, green, blue, and purple, from Chanel’s Spring 2023 haute couture collection. Cruz styled it simply with gold jewelry, including large hoop earrings, an oversize ear cuff, some bangles, and a big rose-shaped ring.
She also wore a floral Chanel LBD in October, to the New York Film Festival’s closing-night premiere of the biopic. The curve-hugging gown was covered in a white and red floral print and featured frilly white trim at the sleeves. She added a pair of black platform ankle-strap pumps adorned with rhinestones and carried a black embroidered clutch.
